We made a return trip to Tenerife from 17th to 26th June 2009, taking the same equipment as the previous year. We again stayed at the Parador hotel. The seeing and transparency were much the same as last year. This time we were maybe slightly more focussed and most nights started setting up at about 9:00pm, and continued imaging until about 7:00am. During the night of 20th/21st June we saw all five of the naked eye planets, in the order Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Venus very close together, and finally the minus one day old moon very close to Mercury. Neptune was also visible through a 4" refractor, but not binoculars because it was very close to the much brighter Jupiter.
